In attendance to his petition, and with resources given by the legislative body, a lot is purchased in order to build a new hospital. It is composed by three different lots: on the east side was the former hospital, at the west there is a shaded walk with the remains of the old jail, destroyed in the earthquake of march of 1812, and between both, a private house.

In 1909 general Carlos Liscano, State President, starts the necessary steps to constitute a cooperation board between the government and the private enterprise, to reach the goal of building and equipping the new hospital.
