Cúpula Capilla de San Miguel constuida en 1924 The old hospital was originally established by a set of wards distributed around a large rectangular court. This court is divided in a couple of low walls which limit the central area. At each side there are three big wards for patients, each one with a small yard for the purpose of recreation of the patients. A corridor permitted walking around the big central space, communicating the wards with the medical and management areas.

The chapel is in the center of the court, being a focal point of the whole set which separates the public reception, near the street, of the surgery rooms and the drugstore. A the end of the main building, an irregular set of small yards and rooms belong to the doctors and the nuns, and communicated through narrow corridors. When the building was inaugurated in 1918 it didn´t had the chapel San Miguel, which appeared two years later.
