HISTORY


The Bolivar Balcony built by Don Alonso Gil de Reinoso, Major of Coro in 1759, which was one of the first balcony constructions in this city, was declared a national monument in 1966.

*In 1896 the house was bought by the Senior family.

*In 1977 it was aquired by the nation.

*In 1981 restoration works took place.

*In 1983 an agreement was signed between the Foundation of the Mortgage Bank of Falcon and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas "Sofia Imber", in which it was named the seta of the Coro Art Museum.

*In 1987 it was handed over to the University for reconditioning.
